It may be summer but Christmas is just around the corner…

KellyBronze turkeys follow natures clock – eggs are laid in spring and come to us as chicks in June.  The turkeys are a slow growing breed and everything we do is about making it better, not cheaper.

These chicks will spend a few weeks inside on straw beds before being transferred to outdoor shelters and pasture.  We regularly monitor the chicks throughout the day and night, making sure that they have plenty of feed and water and that they are being kept at just the right temperature.  It’s a busy time at the farm, which can be tiring at times, but also very exciting.
